TARGET AUDIENCE PROFILE

DEMOGRAPHICS
-
- Ages: 15-25
I think a good target audience for this horror opening will be roughly 15 to about 25, I think the youngest age to watch the film would be around 14/15 because of the fear and tension which is built up during various scenes. As the characters are young, they can also feel identified through the language and actions.
I also think that the target audience would range to about 25. This is the oldest of the target audience because even though my film will be unique in terms of mise-en-scene, characters and music, I think the older audience such as 30 onwards would find this film unique as much as a teenager or young adult would. Furthermore, the people that range in our target audience may find the film relatable than someone over the age of 25.
In general, teenagers and young adults tend to enjoy horror films more as they are not put off by alarming images. In fact they are more likely to be drawn towards them, and that is why my film intends to excite a younger audience rather than an older one.
