Ana is the main character in 'Don't Blink'. Her role in the opening scenes are of extreme significance as she is the one that notices something is off and with that builds the tension needed for this terror film. Her appearance is short but meaningful.
Maria going down to the cellar can orientate the audience and hint them about the terrifying event that will eventually ocurr.

Costume:
Ana wears a fairly casual outfit, this contrasts with the situation that will occur since it is something out of the ordinary. To reflect this difference once again, he wears a lot of black and white. This is significant since the audience knows that something is going to happen to her and they don't know if it will end well or badly.
